Last Hoorah

Final Attempt.

I really am going to try to post weekly this time around. I feel if i blog and keep people informed it will keep me on track with my goals.

Right now im goofing around in the limit cash games because i find it fun to be a fish. It was also due to the promo Carbon was running where it was tracking # of hands that were raked. Found it the easiest to multitable, and get some free money out of.

Right now i have a small roll on carbon enough to play for fun from time to time/ grind the micro limit tables. I dont really trust it as much anymore since they took away p2p transfers and western union cashouts. I havent tried getting a check yet we will see how that goes when the times comes.

Day 2/3 of .20 cent challaenge

So on the first day i took my .20 cents turned it into 1.07.... not bad idk what the rake back or how many tourneys it took to do that but from here on out i am going to be tracking all this the best i can :P

Day 2 Starting roll: 1.07

So this day was fun i played 30 .11 super turbo 6 maxs..... cashing in 13 of them: 4 1st place finishes at .39 a pop. Leaving the other 9 cashes as 2nd places for .21 a pop. This is exciting that i cashed in nearly .50% of the tourneys i played, allowing me to profit. I am not aware if this percentage is above or below the average for semipro/winning players. All in all when i make a profit i am happy.

So as i was crushing these throughout the day usually 2 at a time, i decided to degen like an idiot and play outside of my bankroll and played a .60 mtt looking for a huge booster to the roll. This was a terrible idea because i did not cash and i went on a down swing after making me fear the challenge would be ended after day 2. Would have been a huge sigh because i have much higher faith and belief of my poker playing.

Also rakeback is going to be huge, and today i earned .14 cents, mainly due to the .60 center i should not have played. Yet this will help me on break even days :)

This did help me though by forcing me to realize i need to create a broad playing range asap in order to continue this successfully. This is a rough draft of my plan (suggestions are helpfull)

<$1.80: i am allowed to play the .11 super turbos

$1.80 to $10.60: i can play .60 9 man sngs and below meaning mtts under .59 cents (assuming 1 rebuy/addon)

$11.00 and above: i can play 1.10 and under sit and goes and .60 and under mtts

I feel like this is all i need for now, but as we increase the roll i will roll out new plans ;)

Day 3 Starting roll: woops i dont remember :(

So today i played 30 .11 super turbos.

Placed 1st: 3 times (sigh lots of running bad heads up)

Placed 2nd: 11 times

I will only be keeping track of the cashes for now, unless i find myself to continue to break even. In that case i will track my finishes and see if im just playing bad on the bubble etc etc and start reviewing hand histories. Im semi surprised that i am having such success because i havent played many superturbos in my poker years. I am learning to love them though i cant wait to give the super turbo mtts a go. I will make them my B****.

Anyone with suggestions or questions please throw them my way. For i want to make this awesome as the roll grows. Maybe this will be looked back on as furgeson type. ha (I can dream cant I?????)

Thanks everyone :)

Day 2 of .20 challenge :P

Currently trying to grind up the .20 cents i had in my account as of yesterday. I ended yesterday with 1.07 in my account after grinding/crushing the .11 cent super turbos, and today i plan to continue to crush them ;)

I will update this post after i am done playing for the day with how many i played and what the current bank roll is etc. etc.

My new desk.....

Grabbed this desk up after i junked my laptop and bought a brand new desktop with my winnings ;) I needed to upgrade my corner desk to a larger desk to hold my brand new dual monitors. Its crazy from going from a broke college kid using hand me down furniture to a brand new desk that should last many many years as long as im nice to it :P

This one matches the new dresser and night stand i bought.. Welcome to my life peeps :P

Back to Back cashing the 125k 109 buyin on merge.

So its been awhile since ive made a blog post... only about a year ;) Well ladies and gentlemen i have had a pretty sick poker life since late August.

The last weekend in August i got brutally headbutted by some dbag at a local bar for spilling his drink (not so sick life :(). He broke both bones in my lower jaw and ran like a girl, the police were never able to catch him, so i was wonderfully stuck with the bill :/.

The weekend after this happened i found myself realizing i was going to be desperate for cash in the near future after i got the 7,000 surgery bill and the 500 hospital bill. This is before insurance (which isnt much in my case) of course yet a large some for a guy like me :P So like any other weekend i played the 125k free roll on merge to try to achieve getting my shot at the 125k gtd prize pool for free! I managed to roll through the free roll stacking chips like they were pennies. Who uses those damn things anymore?? So the next day while agonizing in pain and still hoped up on Vicodin i prepare myself as best as i could to play the 125k and hope for a big score!

A few hours into the tourney i took a bad beat leaving me with 2 BB i wanted to scream because i feared my shot at a large score was gone, yet i continued on my grind to as normal. A few hands later i was in the BB with half my stack in the pot already and 3 people already in the pot so i stuck my chips in there with 85 off suit. Flopped a straight draw and turned the nut straight, allowing me to run around in my apartment with joy :) The very next hand in the SB i received JJ from the dealer as a gift to my path to success ;) After these 2 hands i found myself above chip average and began crushing the tournament with my new found confidence. I smooth sailed all the way to the final table with roughly a top 3 chip stack, well the money got to me and i made a few bad folds/calls and found myself exiting the tourney in 5th place for 6,000! Still huge for me and at the time was 3 times my largest cash prior to that. These eased my pain from my jaw a lot but it did force me to miss another night of work, due to the fact i work third shift :P

So fast forward to the next weekend sunday was here and the large gurantees were here. All week i was telling my friends just watch I am going to back to back final table it, now that i have the bank roll to play them :) Sure as shit i came out the door crushing the tournament and had a huge stack throughout it. I found myself on the final table yet again and this time took a bad beat QQ

1ST IN A $11 ($7,500 GURNATEE) (iwanaSTORM) – Poker School Online: Learn Poker Strategy, Odds and Tells

So this post is long over due but very necessary. My friends kept hating on me for spending lots of my time playing PSO's and micro stakes poker. Well back in December I was able to take my skills from PSO's and be rewarded greatly . The tourney was $11 with 1,110 people registered. It all started at 2am when i felt as if i was on top my game so i decided to hop into a $11 dollar tourney. Which at the time was at the top of my buyin allowances for myself. Within the hour i was chip leader of the tourney running amazing. Things were going great then bam out of no where my stack was disapearing. Yet from the PSO's i have learned patience and that you dont always have the best hand so i laid back watching people get KO'ed. Soon enough i noticed have the field was gone and i was about average stack. Then i went on a rush on got back in about the top 50 for chips feeling comfortable, and this time i was smart enough to lay off the gas and not throw them away. Then its about 6 am and their are only 50ish people left and im sitting here short stack. 50 of 50. Not feeling great about where i was gonna finish. But then pokerstars rewarded my patience or something and gave me pocket Rockets BACK TO BACK Also to many disbelief they both held up Then lots of magical things happened and i was on the final table 2nd in chips. Dont get me wrong the final table was hard as hell. It took some where around 45 mins for the short stack to loose then they starded dropping like flies. First should have been 2,000 i believe if i remember right but i made a deal with the last dude left he got 1,600 and i got 1,800. I did this cuz i was tired as hell lol but the main point of this blog is KEEP ON YOUR GRIND I now have a brand new TV, XBOX, and rent for a few months. GL ALL and KEEP ur shit up Read more: 1ST IN A $11 ($7,500 GURNATEE) (iwanaSTORM) – Poker School Online: Learn Poker Strategy, Odds and Tells http://www.pokerschoolonline.com/blogs/post/?id=7757#ixzz1o5dZ03rl This is a look back at my first ever blog post on pokerstars, and man do i miss the ability to play there it was a lot of fun. The PSO skill league was a fun free tourney!

Lets be Honest

Lots of things are going to be changing in my life this month! For example their is a large tourney series are the merge network that i will attempt to take part of! Hoping to ship a few tournaments in it or deep runs since the prize pools are huge for the amount of people on the site that are actually going to play them! It will be hard to play these since most of them are going to conflict with my full time work schedule that i recently started in February! Hence the reason i haven't been posting as much as planned!

So along with the tourney series online my local casino has a bunch of promotions for poker players this month! I already missed out on one, because i simply didn't have the time to put in 50 hours in order to get entry into a free roll! This is a huge bummer to me because i have fallen in love with live tourneys they are so much fun! Yet another exciting day is coming, on the 24th they are having a drawing every hour for 10 hours! If your name is drawn you receive $500.00, this is going to be easy money cuz im a luck MOFO!! Last but not least is the $350.00 bounty tourney! 300 is going into the prize pool, 50 is going to casino, and then the casino is providing the 50 dollar bounty on each players head. This tourney is scheduled near the end of the month, so to say the least this  month is going to be hell of fun!

Lastly, i plan on completely remodeling my blog in the near future. I hope to make it more appealing to everyone! By posting this it will make me do it since its not just in my head anymore their are witnesses :P I plan to take all the advertising off because it dont work anyways! LOL SO basically its making my blog look like shit for no reason :)

Shameless Promotion: Please share this with your friends because theirs is true epicness to come soon within this blog. Enjoy the shit out of the read!!!!
